PREVENTION
Preventing Violence Before It Begins
We believe the safest communities are built long before violence occurs. Prevention is the foundation of our work because every life saved begins with an investment made before a crisis emerges.
Rather than waiting to respond after harm has been done, we work alongside residents, community leaders, schools, faith institutions, businesses, and local partners to identify risk factors early and create opportunities that strengthen individuals and neighborhoods.
Our prevention strategies address the social and economic conditions that contribute to violence, including unemployment, educational disparities, social isolation, untreated trauma, and limited access to positive opportunities.
Through mentorship, workforce development, leadership training, conflict resolution, youth engagement, family support, and neighborhood-based programming, we help individuals build the skills, relationships, and stability needed to thrive.
We believe prevention is not simply the absence of violence—it is the presence of opportunity, hope, belonging, and community investment.
INTERVENTION
Interrupting Violence and Restoring Hope
When violence or conflict does occur, immediate, trusted, and community-centered intervention is essential.
Our intervention model is built around highly trained Community Violence Intervention (CVI) professionals and credible messengers—individuals with lived experience who have earned the trust of those most impacted by violence.
These frontline practitioners engage individuals at the highest risk of involvement in violence, de-escalate conflicts before retaliation occurs, mediate disputes, conduct street outreach, provide crisis response, and connect participants to critical resources that address their immediate needs.
Intervention is more than crisis response. It is an opportunity to interrupt cycles of harm while demonstrating that every individual has value, every conflict has an alternative solution, and every life deserves another chance.
TRANSFORMATION

Our ultimate goal extends beyond reducing violence—we seek to transform lives, strengthen communities, and reshape public safety for future generations.
Transformation occurs when individuals who have experienced violence, incarceration, trauma, or systemic barriers gain the support necessary to build stable, purpose-driven lives and become leaders within their own communities.
We believe that people are more than the worst decision they have ever made or the violence they have experienced. With the right support, individuals can become mentors, entrepreneurs, advocates, parents, and community leaders who inspire others to follow a different path.
Transformation is measured not only by fewer shootings or homicides, but by stronger families, healthier neighborhoods, expanded economic opportunity, increased community trust, and generations of young people who grow up believing that violence is neither inevitable nor acceptable.
